I haven't been taking quite as many pictures of Lara lately since she has been sick and my parents have been here, but here a few cute ones from the last week!

Big Hug for Pooh! - She is really starting to grab her toys and hold onto them. It is so fun watching her master this new skill! She still has to work on her hand-eye coordination, but she's getting better at getting her hands to do what she wants more every day!

Well, I knew it had to happen sometime... But I was hoping that we would make it a little longer than 12 weeks before she got sick!

On Friday night I noticed that Lara had a little cough, but didn't think much of it, then Saturday she started coughing a little more, but wasn't acting like she was feeling bad, and wasn't running and fever, so Mom and I decided to go shopping at Bridgestreet here in town and got Lara a couple of really cute outfits for our trip to Brazil and the Summer. On Sunday Lara started acting a little more like she wasn't feeling good and was running a low fever so we decided that if she wasn't better in the morning we would head to the doctor.

Well, she was worse on Monday and I could feel her "purring" when she was breathing so I knew it was definitely time to go in. Well, as I had feared she tested positive for RSV and also had brochiolitis (between bronchitis and pneumonia.) Thankfully they were able to do a breathing treatment in the office which seemed to make a big difference. We were told to do breathing treatments at home every 6 hours for 4 days, then we cut it down to 2x a day for the rest of the week and then 1x per day for the week after... I feel like she is a newborn again! We do a treatment at midnight, then we have to get up and try to do the treatment again at 6am - she has actually slept through it every day so far except one! I find that amazing since the machine we borrowed from the doctor is VERY loud!

She has been such a trooper! Even though I can tell that she is not quite herself, she has still be smiling and not very fussy at all! We are so blessed to have such a good baby, even when she's sick!

Please keep us in your prayers! We are hoping that the treatments continue working and that she will be back to herself as soon as possible!

My parents made their first trip to come see Lara since she was born! She has changed so much since then... I can't believe how quickly she is growing and changing! We had a great time with them, and I know that Lara really enjoyed getting to spend some time with Granna & Granpa. And, Hailey was DEFINITELY excited that Granpa was here so that she could get a little extra attention! :-)

My parents watched Lara for one evening so that Lucas and I could go out for "Valentine's Day!" Only a couple of weeks late, buy hey, better late than never!

We went to dinner at Chili's - Thanks to my Granparents for the gift certificate!! Then we went to see Valentine's Day at the theater. I can't even remember the last time we went to the movie! Anyways, it was fun to get out just the two of us!

It was cold most of the time that my parents were here, but we took advantage of this nice day to take Lara on her first hike! We had been out to places where we could use the stroller, but we decided to try out the carrier. It worked pretty good for the most part, although I was pretty sore the next day after carrying Lara like this for a couple of hours!

Lara's Granna bought her her very first swimsuit! Even though it has been freezing here lately! (It actually snowed today!) We decided to try it on just so that we can dream about warmer weather! I can't wait until we get to go swimming! She looked so cute!! Hopefully we will get to wear this when we go to Brazil!

We have been keeping pretty busy lately! Lara is getting so big and talking and smiling more than ever!

Working on rolling over. She has done it a couple of times, but I'm sure it was on accident - she gets surprised and cries whenever she ends up on her back...

Hailey is definitely getting more tolerant of Lara - I still don't think that she is thrilled though...

We went to the doctor last week for Lara's 2 month check up. Everything looked great and the doctor said that she was showing off! :-)

*Weight - 11 lbs. 13 oz.
*Height - 23.5 inches
*She her first round of vaccines - 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine. I think I cried more than she did! She was a trooper and only ran a low grade fever and just slept a lot. We didn't even have to give her Tylenol! I'm glad to know that she will tolerate the shots well, since I tended to run REALLY high fevers when I was young!

Here are a few things she is doing at 2 months old:

* Consistently sleeping 8+ hours at night (11pm - 7am)! Yay for a full night of sleep for me! Her longest stretch has been 9.5 hours.
* She smiles at us all the time and is SO close to laughing - She also will follow us around a room with her eyes.
* She is getting so strong and likes to stand up and "walk" - She even picks her feet up.
* She likes tummy time most days and has rolled over a couple of times - although it normally surprises her and makes her cry!
* She really likes her swing and is starting to like her Bumbo a little more every day.
* Her favorite toy is the Pooh that her Daddy gave her.
* We bought her first bathing suit
* We are getting ready for her first plane ride and international trip to Brazil to visit Lucas' family! We can't wait!


She is changing so much every day. I can't believe how fast she is growing.
