My sweet friend Caroline, who took dance when she was younger, was eager to teach her 2 year old little girl ballet, but didn't want to pay the price for the dance studios around town, so she decided to do a 2/3 year old class at our churches community center once a week this summer for FREE!  Lara has really enjoyed it (as far as I can tell!) And isn't she just the cutest little ballerina you've ever seen?! :-)

While Marcos was with us, we decided to try out our double jogging strollers on the trails up on the mountain at the state park here in town.  There were definitely some bumpy spots, but I think both girls really enjoyed it!

While Marcos was here we decided to try out the botanical gardens in town one day.  I had been a couple of times for work conferences, but had never taken Lara.  She seemed to really enjoy it!  I'm so glad that we got to go!

We had a fantastic, crazy busy trip to Texas and then Lucas' Dad was waiting for us when we arrived back in Alabama!  We are SOOOO glad that he got to come and see us and meet Mari for the first time!  We sure had a great time!

So, so glad that we got to go to Texas for my great friend Randa's wedding!  We have known each other since 3rd grade and it was SUCH a pleasure being in her wedding and celebrating her big day with her!!!!

We headed up to Dallas one day while we were in Texas to see my Aunt and Uncle and my cousin Melissa and her boyfriend (now fiance!)  I was hesitant to go at first just because Mari absolutely, positively HATES the carseat, but I'm so glad that we went and got to visit with them for a few hours!  I hadn't seen any of them in at least 5 years, so it was SO nice to catch up!
