Half-way Point - 20 Weeks

I have finally hit the half-way point! 20 weeks down, 20 to go! I'm feeling great, and have been able to feel baby move for a couple of weeks now! Lucas finally got to feel baby kick the other night. It was an exciting experience! :-) Things are starting to feel so much more real now, especially after we had our big ultrasound last week (see below!)

For those who have been asking for belly pictures. I haven't had much of a belly until recently, but here it is in all its glory - 20 week belly! I'll try to be better about posting as my tummy continues to expand!

Here is a picture of our cute Little Boo! It was so nice to be able to watch baby move and squirm around! - In this picture you can see baby looking right at you!

And for all those who are wondering, we did find out that baby is a

GIRL!

We are so excited to finally be able to call baby

SHE!

And here is our first gift from my parents (soon-to-be Granna and Grandpa!)Cute Jeans and a hoodie from baby Gap - So cute!

Karen's Wedding & Reception!!!

Karen's wedding turned out wonderfully! I enjoyed getting to spend the whole day with her and get to catch up with her!

Everyone helping Karen get ready

It's time to get MARRIED!

Between Lucas and my dad, we didn't get very many good pictures of the wedding - most of them were blurry because of the distance and the lighting. Oh well, I'm sure that her photographer captured everything beautifully!

All over! Karen is now Married!!!!

Karen's Wedding - Rehearsal Dinner

First wedding event was the Rehearsal Dinner. Everything seemed to go well at the Rehearsal, and then we headed to Se Cocina, a cute restaurant in downtown Waco. There are so many new places down there... I feel like it's a brand new town since I lived there! Ha!

Lucas and I at Se Cocina

Me and Karen, the bride-to-be!

When we got home from the Rehearsal Dinner, I thought it would be a good idea to take a few pictures of Lucas and I since we don't get dressed up very often!

Our Trip to Texas!!!

Well, it was that time of year again for our annual trip to Texas! We had to miss the 4th of July family festivities this year because my good friend Karen was getting married, and unfortunately we couldn't take two weeks off of work, although I sure wish we could have!

We left on Saturday and made our 13 hour trek to Granbury to see Grammy and Papa before they left for the 4 month RV trip! It was so good to get to see them and chat for a while!

Playing Dominoes... one of our favorite activities with Grammy and Papa

Lucas is getting serious!

Hailey is worn out from all of the squirrel chasing! She almost got one this time!

Lake Granbury! One of my favorite places of all times... and where we got married more than 4 years ago! Such good memories!

On Sunday we headed down to Waco to spend the week with my parents. It was so hot the whole time that we were in Texas (about 105 every day!) I know I lived in Texas for 24 years, but it's amazing how quickly you can forget what it feels like to live in an oven! ha!

This is the best picture I could get... but it was HOT!!!

On Monday, mom and I went shopping for some Maternity clothes! I love shopping with mom as she always gives me her honest opinion! I found several cute things that won't make me feel too "frumpy" while I get bigger and bigger.... and bigger... Ha!

On Tuesday, I drove down to College Station to see my friend Krissy! We ate at Casa Ole and then went to Marble Slab! So many great college memories came flooding back! I sure do miss college sometimes, although we are really enjoying our new life in Alabama!

The famous A&M barn... I can't believe that next year will start Class of 2013! That makes me feel OLD!

One of my fav Mexican restaurants - Casa Ole

The best Green Sauce ever!

On Wednesday I got to go eat lunch with my old gymnastics coaches and my best gym buddy! It had been a couple of years since I had seen any of them, so it was great to catch up, and of course we had Mexican food! I couldn't get enough Texas Mexican food while we were home! SO much better than the Mexican food in Alabama! :-)

Later on Wednesday, my long time best friend Randa stopped by in waco on her way back to Huntsville, Tx. We chatted over coffee and then of course she insisted on buying me some baby things... I'm so glad that she stopped by!!!

On Thursday, we stayed inside for the most part because it was SO hot! It was nice to just have a day of relaxation... of course Lucas and dad spent most of the day playing the Wii... some car game, I'm not sure! Ha!

On Friday, we started the wedding festivities for Karen's wedding!

It was great to be home, and I'll make another post about Karen's wedding Fun!

A Little Trip to Chattanooga

Our friends Levi and Ashley are moving to Boulder, Colorado, so we decided to make one last weekend trip to one of our favorite little cities around! We just went for the night, and mostly for the food, but if was fabulous and nice to get away for a few hours and spend some time visiting with Levi and Ashley before their big move!

First stop was Sticky Fingers in Chattanooga! Lucas and I split a whole rack of ribs! So good! :-)

Lucas and I at Sticky Fingers!

Ashley, Bailey, Sarah and Me at Sticky Fingers

Sarah eating away at her ribs! They were FABULOUS!

After dinner we decided to walk around downtown Chattanooga by the Aquarium and the Tennessee River then headed to Ben and Jerry's for a little ice cream treat!

The girls wading in the fountains in front of the Aquarium.

The next morning we slept in and then Headed to Aretha Frankenstein's! (Thanks Rob and Annie for the recommendation!) They had the BEST pancakes I have ever had! If you ever get a chance to go to Chattanooga, TN and have a lot of time, you should stop by this place! Just remember, it definitely isn't fast food, but was SO worth the wait!

Sarah, Bailey and me waiting up on the porch - this was such a cute and unique place!

Me cooling off inside for a minute... Heat and pregnancy don't really mix! ha!

The whole group minus Jeremy who was taking the picture.

And finally, a picture of the BEST pancakes EVER! :-)

We had a great time and are sad to say goodbye to Levi and Ashley, but wish them the best of luck on their adventures in Colorado, and now we have an excuse to go to Colorado! :-)
