We had our second playdate with Stacey and Lydia yesterday. We had a great time talking and were able to get out and take a walk around the neighborhood this time! Both girls slept through the walk, and then we came back and tried to take a few pictures of both girls happy and awake!

Lara is getting stronger every day, so I decided it was time to try out her bumbo chair! She did pretty good for a little while, but I don't think we're quite ready for it yet!

Here are some pictures of Lara around 6 weeks old! I still can't believe how fast she is growing, and how quickly time is going by... She is changing every day and making new sounds and faces all the time. I am so enjoying every second that I get to spend with her, and taking far too many pictures as I'm sure you all can tell!

Preparing Lara to go to A&M already!

Lucas and I decided that it was time for a night out just the two of us. Our parents had graciously let us do this while they were still in town, but it had been several weeks since we had gotten to go out to dinner and just enjoy each others company without a screaming (albeit cute) Lara in the background!

We have a show at our church about once a quarter called Married Life Live. We were all ready to start making plans to go and find someone to watch Lara, and then we found out that they were sold out!!! But, through the grapevine we found a couple who ended up not being able to go, so we were able to go enjoy a little music and entertainment, while our wonderful friends Scott & Ruthanne agreed to watch Lara for us.

This was the first time that we had left her with anyone besides our parents, so it was a little sad, but Lara did great and took a bottle with no problem! Ruthanne even texted us a picture of her little boy Lincoln feeding the bottle to Lara! I'm glad that she had such a good time with them! Apparently the boys have been asking for a baby sister now! :-)

Scott, Ruthie, Lincoln & Carter, thanks again for taking care of our sweet little girl for us so that we could enjoy a little time just the two of us again!

Last week we Lara had her first Playdate with my friend Stacey and her little girl Lydia. Lydia was supposed to be born two days after Lara, but ended up being 12 days older than her! Of course at this stage a play date really consists of trying to keep two babies happy and the moms finally getting a little adult conversation during the day! We look forward to many more playdates in the future and hope that the girls will eventually enjoy it a little more!
